OnBlackheath Festival in partnership with John Lewis, have announced the latest additions to their 2016 music line-up.
Heavenly Recordings returns to the heath to curate the Heavenly Stage on Sunday and have announced the return of Saint Etienne and a special appearance from Edwyn Collins. The London independent label has discovered and released records by iconic and influential artists such as The Vines, Beth Orton and Stealing Sheep. Saint Etienne will be headlining the Heavenly Stage and playing a career spanning set.

Also confirmed is the quite legendary Edwyn Collins, Texan psychedelic garage band Night Beats, Australian singer songwriter M Craft, and Dutch songstress Amber Arcades.
Heavenly label founder Jeff Barrett said: “It’s great to be back at OnBlackheath Festival which we’ve been delighted to be part of since it began. In September it’ll be 25 years since we released Saint Etienne’s first album - Foxbase Alpha - so it’s great to be celebrating this anniversary at the Festival with them. We’ve got a killer lineup, showcasing the best of Heavenly; from our beginnings to where we are now.”
In addition, the sensational Rosie Lowe has been added to the Main Stage line up. Rosie has burst onto the scene with her new album ‘Control’, and commented “I'm super excited about 2016 and what it has to offer. After recently releasing my debut album and returning from my first ever European headline tour I'm looking forward to playing at OnBlackheath Festival, which is in my neck of the woods. It's an honour to be sharing a stage with a host of UK female artists such as Roisin Murphy and Lonelady”.
Confirmed to Headline Stage 3 on Saturday is Neneh Cherry, the Buffalo Stance singer will be playing an exclusive DJ set. The stage will also host sets on the Saturday from Jazzie B (Soul II Soul) and Don Letts. Curating the stage on Sunday is the renowned Craig Charles Funk n Soul Party who is set to spin some classic anthems and bring a fittingly feel-good vibe to close the Festival.
With acts including Primal Scream, Hot Chip, Belle & Sebastian, Roisin Murphy, James and Squeeze already announced and the very best culinary delights still to be revealed, OnBlackheath will offer festivalgoers a memorable experience on the historic green space of London’s Blackheath Common SE3. OnBlackheath will also feature an array of exciting attractions including the John Lewis Food Village with a food demonstration stage coupled with celebrity chefs and an immersive dining experience.
In a festival first, Puffin Books will be partnering with OnBlackheath to bring to life their World Of Stories, a unique and magical experience to entertain children of all ages. OnBlackheath fully embraces families with children 12 and under admitted for free.
OnBlackheath has established itself as a landmark event in the London calendar and has previously presented the likes of Massive Attack, Grace Jones, Elbow, Madness, Manic Street Preachers and Kelis. Last year over 30,000 music and food lovers gathered to enjoy OnBlackheath, across the two days.
