Deap Vally will release their debut single, 'Gonna Make My Own Money', on Ark Recordings on July 30th, and make their UK Live debut this summer.
Bringing rock-hard grit and all-girl soul from the San Fernando Valley, Deap Vally is made up of the howl of Lindsey Troy and the rhythm of Julie Edwards. Together, the duo break blues down to its simplest, most fundamental form: beat, melody, and meaning, while their scorching live shows are fast becoming the stuff of legend.

Deap Vally first met at a needlework class - yes, really - last year. Bonding over their crochet hooks with a love of the blues, first demos and videos of the girls’ live shows have been cropping up online with increasing frequency over the past few months, Filter Magazine invited the band to perform at their Coachella party, and they’ve even caught the ears of one Josh Homme, whose Eagles of Death Metal invited the girls to open for them in LA.
Deap Vally will head to the UK for the first time this summer, with a show at London’s Old Blue Last and festival dates in Hyde Park, Latitude, Reading and Leeds.
Dates are:
11th July, LONDON, Old Blue Last
13th July, LONDON, Hyde Park (with Soundgarden and The Stooges)
14th July, LATITUDE FESTIVAL
24th August, READING FESTIVAL
25th August, LEEDS FESTIVAL
