Jenny Jones

We caught up with X Games gold medalist and Pro snowboarder Jenny Jones and asked her a few questions ahead of this years Relentless Energy Drink Freeze Festival.

Taking place at London's iconic Battersea Power Station is the Relentless Energy Drink Freeze Festival, where some of the UK's most talented snowboarders and Skiers battle it out in the UK's only International snow sports and music event.

Expect two days of world class Snowboarding, Skiing and live music across 5 stages. You can also expect alpine style bars, a huge shopping village and gourmet food and drink.. all vital for the ‘Ultimate Après Ski Party!

X Games gold medalist Jenny Jones will be there getting involved in all the action and here's what she had to say about her career, surfing and more!

Your best known for your technical spins, but what is your favourite trick of 2012?

ummmmmm well its always back 180 tail grab on a big booter

You've attended Boardmasters this year, what was your favourite live act of the festival?

Lori Campbell or was that last year. On the wind down session, thought she was fun.

Being a keen surfer who do you look up to on the pro surfing scene and why?

Honestly, I don’t really follow pro surfing that much i just go and surf. Although Gwen Spurlock Oakley teammate deserves a mention, a bubbly welsh chick who cracks me up every time i hang out with her, great surfer too. I think the long boarder Ben skinner is really sick and the Irish lads in Mickey Smiths movies.

Will we see another gold medal from Jenny in a future X Games?

Your guess is as good as mine. I hope to keep shredding for a few more years and will give it my best shot.

What is your most memorable moment throughout your career?

Competing wise i would have to say the first time i won the x games in aspen usa. Something i wanted to achieve for years and then to have actually Won gold was amazing, just a fantastic feeling i was pretty pumped for over a week after that. Ended up booking my mate and me a flight to Las Vegas for a day and night of partying ha.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s Freeze Festival?

Watching the British lads send it of the big kicker and hopefully hold their own against a strong international field of riders.

“Relentless Energy rider Jenny Jones will be watching all the sporting action at the Relentless Energy Drink Freeze in association with Metro at Battersea Power Station, 26-27 October. For tickets visit http://freezefestival.com/
