Groundbreaking DJ and producer Kaytranada will headline Uber One presents All Points East on Friday 16 August 2024. Joining him is a huge supporting line-up including Victoria Monét, Thundercat, Lancey Foux, Channel Tres, Amaarae, Jyoty and many more. Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT on Friday 1 March.
Hailing from Montreal, Kaytranada has captivated audiences around the globe with his genre-defying style and unparalleled talent. From Grammy-winning albums to chart-topping singles, he has cemented his status as one of the most influential artists in contemporary music.
With his innovative fusion of electronic, hip-hop, and R&B elements, Kaytranada has garnered widespread acclaim and a devoted global following. His debut studio album, 2016’s 99.9%, featured guest appearances from Phonte, Craig David, Vic Mensa, Little Dragon and more, not only earning critical praise but also securing him the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. His follow-up record, Bubba, won him two Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Album, making history as the first black artist to win in this category.
Known for his infectious beats and soulful grooves, Kaytranada has also produced for a wide array of artists including Chance the Rapper, Alicia Keys, Lauren Faith and Snoop Dogg, as well producing chart-topping hits including ‘Glowed Up’ featuring Anderson .Paak and ‘Leave Me Alone’ featuring Shay Lia. During his standout set at Coachella last year he brought out Aminé as his guest, where the duo performed the live debut of ‘4eva’ from their joint album Kaytraminé.
His ability to seamlessly blend genres and push the boundaries of conventional music has set him apart as a visionary artist. With a reputation for electrifying live performances, Kaytranada continues to push the boundaries and inspire audiences worldwide with his unique sound.
Joining the line-up is superstar and x3-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét, who has been steadily trailblazing her own gilded path in music for over a decade. Monét began her career as a performing artist who expanded her repertoire into producer and songwriter by collaborating on several chart-topping projects alongside acclaimed artists such as Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony, Chloe x Halle, BLACKPINK, Brandy, Selena Gomez and more. Her 2020 critically acclaimed solo project JAGUAR cemented her as a superstar in her own right, landing the #1 spot on iTunes R&B album charts in 66 countries. In 2024 her highly anticipated debut album, JAGUAR II earned her two Grammys, alongside her picking up the award for Best New Artist. It's clear that Monét is having the most exciting moment of her career - and you can catch her at All Points East this summer for her only UK show of the year!
Also Thundercat, the virtuoso bassist and singer Stephen Bruner, a mercurial talent and multi-GRAMMY award winner. His first three records completed his transition to bonafide star and cemented his reputation as a unique voice transcending genre. Thundercat was “at the creative epicentre” of the 21st century’s most influential hip-hop album Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly, winning a Grammy for his collaboration on the track ‘These Walls’. In 2023, Thundercat linked with previous All Points East headliner Tame Impala releasing ‘No More Lies’, his first new song in three years. Other collaborations include Gorillaz, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson Paak), HAIM, H.E.R., Kaytranada, Kenny Beats, JID and many more. Just last week saw Thundercat feature on ‘Time Machine’, the new single by Kitty Ca$h, who is also performing at All Points East this year.
East London rapper Lancey Foux first emerged back in 2015, with the release of his first full-length EP PINK, grabbing people’s attention. Boasting 14 rule-bending and non-conforming tracks, it served a diverse pallet of inspirations and sounds. Six more albums and two mixtapes later, including 2022’s Life in Hell, his longest and arguably most ambitious album produced by headliner Kaytranada, he then released a long-awaited collaborative mixtape BACK2DATRAP alongside Bally in 2023.
Channel Tres is a producer, DJ, musician and artist from Compton, California whose style and aesthetic quickly made him one of the most buzz-worthy talents to hit the scene. Best known for his debut 2018's single ‘Controller’, Channel Tres blended the drive of Detroit techno and the silky smooth grooves of Chicago house, with the snarl of West Coast rap. With multiple critically-acclaimed EPs and albums now under his belt, he released his latest album Lover/Friend in 2023.
Amaarae is a singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, raised between Accra, Atlanta & New Jersey. Her debut EP Passion Fruit Summers launched her as one of the most vital voices in alternative pop, paving the way for her genre blending breakthrough record THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW, featuring singles like ‘SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY’ and ‘FANCY’. 2021 saw Amaarae collaborate with African R&B royalty Tiwa Savage on ‘Tales By Moonlight’, as well as most recently with the Billboard topping songstress Kali Uchis on a remix of ‘SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY’. In 2023 she released her highly anticipated second album Fountain Baby to critical acclaim.
Considered by many as being at the forefront of her own movement, the Amsterdam-born, London-based Jyoty’s rise to becoming one of the underground's most loved figures is a story of sheer dedication. Over recent years Jyoty has established herself as one of the key voices of London’s Rinse FM, and her inimitable skill as a musical selector, interviewer and curator has won her a following the world over. From the release of her first remix to a sold out European headline tour, Jyoty is proving herself as someone who is showing no signs of slowing down.
Other artists announced today include TSHA, Kilimanjaro, Lou Phelps, Felo Le Tee, Taylah Elaine, Arthi, Kitty Ca$h and Tkay Maidza.
Each year, All Points East delivers an epic line up of world class headliners, exceptionally curated supporting line ups and big exclusives. 2024 will be no different - already announced in addition to Kaytranada is one of the UK’s defining rappers, Loyle Carner, who will headline the festival on Saturday 17 August, as well as LCD Soundsystem (Friday 23 August), APE presents Field Day (Saturday 24 August) and The Postal Service / Death Cab For Cutie (Sunday 25 August).
