The Stone Roses have confirmed a reunion

UK Festival Guides can confirm that on this day Tuesday 18th October 2011 The Stone Roses reunited and will embark on a world tour in 2012.

The Stone Roses original line up of Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary (Mani) Mounfield and Alex (Reni) Wren made history today on confirming that they have reunited after 15 years of since their last gig together and are back in the studio getting ready for a tour next June.  This was confirmed by all 4 members at a press conference today.

The band released two albums ‘The Stone Roses’ and ‘Second Coming’ before they split but their music changed the way forward for the Manchester scene at the time and the support from fans to see them get back together over the years has been immense. They were always the ‘will they, won’t they’ band when it came round to Glastonbury festival time as fans around the world all hoped to see them appear as a surprise get together act on the line up.

They have confirmed two dates for Manchester's Heaton Park on 29th and 30th June 2012 before embarking on a world tour.
