Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks

This summer, Ibiza Rocks will proudly present Paolo Nutini, making his hugely anticipated debut at Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks, Tuesday 7th August and Wednesday 8th August respectively.

He joins an already stellar line up including Ed Sheeran, Kasabian, New Order, Bloc Party, Tinie Tempah, Example, Kaiser Chiefs, Chase & Status, Professor Green, Maverick Sabre, Labrinth, DJ Fresh presents FRESH/LIVE, Azealia Banks and Two Door Cinema Club who will also play the 16-week long series of outdoor summer gigs.

Paisley born and bred singer songwriter Paolo Nutini made his mark on the music scene with 4 x Platinum debut album These Streets (2006) which firmly established him as one of the UK’s premier singer songwriter talents.   Critically acclaimed and self-produced second album Sunny Side Up (2009) debuted at No.1 and achieved 5 x Platinum status, proving that Paolo Nutini is a rare and genuine talent with stunning songwriting ability and worldwide appeal.  These extra special shows are sure to provide a seminal moment of the summer for ‘Rocks’ eagerly awaiting, international audience.

2012 will see Paolo return with a new album as well as touring old songs and new across the world with his incredible band. The multi-million selling artist has racked up some incredible achievements over the years, firmly establishing him as a global superstar. 2011 saw him receive the ‘Best Headline Act’ award at the UK Festival Awards for his shows at Latitude & Rockness, as well as warming up the stage for Elbow & Coldplay at Saturday night’s Glastonbury.

In 2010, Paolo won the UK music industry’s highest acclaim, the Ivor Novello for Best Album - an award every artist wishes to win! He also picked up the Q Best Male accolade at the highly prestigious Q Music Awards, adding to a positively heaving clutch of achievements in his career to date.

Nutini’s reputation for blistering, crowd rousing live performances has seen him electrify audiences across the globe since he exploded onto the scene in 2006. Now, with a stunning catalogue of material from the multi-platinum global smashes These Streets and Sunny Side Up, plus songs from his forthcoming new album, Paolo’s show promise to deliver an unforgettable evening in the hazy Ibiza sun.

Shane Murray, Promoter, Ibiza Rocks Group said: ‘Having Paolo at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks is a real coup for us.  He’s a genuine festival headliner so these relatively intimate shows really stand out. They will also provide fans with a rare chance to see him live this summer. We're hugely excited to have him out here and hear he's equally excited about the Rocks shows and soaking up the Balearic sun. Special times for all!'

The Ibiza Rocks brand consistently boasts a bill crammed with the biggest international artists and breakthrough talent live under the Balearic stars and offers a choice of quality accommodation options in Mallorca and Ibiza at exceptional value.  Summer 2012 will see 32 ‘Rocks’ gigs across 16 consecutive weeks.  Mallorca Rocks every Tuesday from 05 June – 18 September.  Ibiza Rocks every Wednesday from 06 June to 19 September.
