Justin Bieber will follow in the footsteps of the biggest headliners in the world, who have made Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park

Justin Bieber’s debut Hyde Park show comes as part of his huge Purpose World Tour, which is running in support of his global #1 album – with over 10 million sold worldwide – PURPOSE.

The UK leg of the tour came to a close this year with two sellout shows at the London’s O2 Arena. But for all the Brit Beliebers out there, Justin will be returning to the UK with a full set of all the hits as well as his incredible full stadium production stage set next summer.

Before heading to Hyde Park, Justin will perform at Cardiff Principality Stadium on Friday 30th June. For both of these sensational summer shows, fans will be treated to a dynamic show with hit after hit, including ‘What Do You Mean?’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Where Are Ü Now?’ as well as treasured pop classics ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘Baby’.

Supporting Justin is fellow teen superstar turned global sensation Martin Garrix. The EDM impresario’s anthemic tracks and contagious basslines have been filling dance floors since he burst onto the scene aged just 17 with his hit “Animals”. Now 20 years old, the Dutch DJ and producer has had a prolific year, having pipped David Guetta and Calvin Harris to the post at the European Music Awards when he was crowned “Best Electronic Act”, and stealing the number one spot in DJ Mag’s 2016 Top 100 DJs list. Now that Garrix is announced to play London’s biggest music festival next summer, 2017 is set to be an even bigger year for the star.

Also joining the killer line up in Hyde Park is Swedish star, Tove Lo. Tove Lo broke on to the international scene in 2013 with dark electro-anthem ‘Habits’. The following year, her collaboration with Alesso, "Heroes (We Could Be)," was another massive hit, reaching the top of the U.S. dance chart. Since then, there’s been no stopping the Swedish singer-songwriter. She recently released her second album ‘Lady Wood’, including the 2016 summer anthem ‘Cool Girl’. With her frank lyrics and contemporary EDM sound, Tove Lo is undoubtedly one of the hottest acts to catch next summer.

Another special guest for Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is rising star, Anne-Marie. The British pop-dance act is making her mark as a featured singer with the likes of Magnetic Man, Gorgon City and Rudimental. As a solo artist, she has already had major success with dance hit ‘Alarm’, giving fans an exciting glimpse of her upcoming debut album. Her latest release with Clean Bandit ‘Rockabye’ (featuring Sean Paul) has recently soared to the top of the UK charts. She has also been shortlisted for the prestigious Brits Critics’ Choice Award 2017, so Hyde Park can expect big things for next year’s performance!

Since the release of Justin’s latest album Purpose, the hype around his music has reached an all-time high and shows no signs of slowing down. His album is shattering landmarks worldwide including a record for having 17 songs in the US Hot 100 in one week (beating The Beatles and Drake).

It all began for the Canadian star in 2008; Bieber flew into the spotlight after his acoustic covers were accidently spotted on YouTube by manager Scooter Braun. At just thirteen years old, he was swiftly signed to Raymond-Braun Records and closely mentored by one of the R&B greats, Usher.

Justin’s first mega-hit ‘Baby’ has now received over 1.4 billion views on YouTube. And since its release, Justin has made four UK top 10 albums. He’s sold an estimated 100 million records, making him one of the world’s best-selling music artists. News of his latest UK performances shows there are no signs slowing the unstoppable force that is Bieber.

With four huge headliners now announced for Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2017, music lovers can expect another phenomenal year from the award-winning festival, all in the heart of London.

On Friday 30th June, music icon Phil Collins is set to headline his biggest solo show ever, plus rock legends Green Day will be hitting the stage on Saturday 2nd July and stadium rockers Kings of Leon will play their only UK festival appearance on Thursday 6th July. Now there is something for everyone at Hyde Park with Justin Bieber rounding off the first weekend on Sunday 2nd July.

Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is an award-winning festival:

Headline Performance of the Year (The Libertines) at the UK Festival Awards 2014

‘Festival of the Year’ at the UK Event Awards 2013

‘Best Use of New Technology’ at the Festival Awards 2013

James King, Senior Vice President, AEG Live comments: “Justin Bieber has proven himself to be a master singer, songwriter and live performer. Bringing the Purpose Tour to Hyde Park next summer is without question the Pop show of the summer.”

Daniel Mathieson, Head of Experiential Marketing and Partnerships for Barclaycard, said: “It’s fantastic that global pop sensation Justin Bieber will be returning to the UK again next year - headlining at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2017.  Tickets go on general sale on Friday 16th  December but Barclaycard customers can beat the rush with exclusive pre-sale access from 9am on Monday 12th December.”

Penelope Boyd, Head of Events at The Royal Parks, said: "We can’t wait to welcome Justin Bieber to Hyde Park, the line up for 2017 just keeps on getting better! This is the fifth year for the event which has created so many memorable moments for hundreds of thousands of fans and in turn raised vital funds which go back into conserving and enhancing this iconic park."
