Singing superstar Alfie Boe is coming to Esher this summer to perform at the amazing Sandown Park Racecourse venue as part of the Sandown Park Music Nights.
SINGING Opera, musical and recording superstar Alfie Boe, who has performed at some of the most famous venues around the world, including English National Opera, Broadway, The 02 and The Royal Opera House, will be performing live after racing, with his orchestra at Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey this summer on Wednesday 25 July.
Everyone knows the now legendary story of Alfie Boe, discovered singing, by a customer at the car factory in Blackpool where he worked. He Wwent on to train at The Royal College of Music, The National Opera Studio and Royal Opera House, young Artist programme. Taken by Baz Lurhmann to play lead in his Broadway version of La Boheme for which he won a Tony Award - followed by principle roles at English National Opera, Welsh and Scottish National Opera and performances at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Then 2010 he played the role of Jean Valjean in the spectacular Les Miserables 25th Anniversary show at the 02 Arena and everything changed: his career has gone literally 'through the roof'. Two top ten albums; sales approaching 750,000. His first UK Tour in December '11 and January '12 was completely sold out - new album this Christmas and his autobiography will be published in the Autumn.
