Henley Festival, the UK’s most glamorous boutique festival, is delighted to announce that it will return to its stunning setting along the river in Henley-on-Thames from Wednesday 5th – Sunday 9th July 2017.

For the first time, Henley Festival has been shortlisted for the 2016 UK Festival Awards. Henley is shortlisted in two categories: Headline Performance of the Year: Elton John and Best Hospitality. The winners will be announced on 28th November. http://www.festivalawards.com/2016-shortlist/

New for 2017, Henley Festival will be releasing a festival season ticket where festival goers can buy tickets to all five nights of the festival for the price of four. The season ticket will be priced at £199 and will go on sale on November 28th 2017 ahead of the first headline announcement which will be on January 23rd 2017.

In 2016 Henley Festival introduced some hugely exciting new elements to its culture line up including the festival’s biggest every comedy bill, world famous Jazz club Ronnie Scott's first ever festival pop up and an exciting partnership with PizzaExpress Live which saw performances from some huge Jazz names.

In 2017 Henley will extend its popular family day to a full on family weekend. 2016 saw record numbers of kids and parents attend the daytime family festival and there will be more fun and magic on offer in 2017 than ever before.

The Henley Festival is run on a "not for Profit’ basis and supports charitable projects at a national and local level. In 2017 Henley will once again be supporting The Children’s Society who brought their thought provoking exhibition ‘Hidden’ to the festival in 2016.

Henley Festival is one of the UK’s most enchanting festivals with a cultural offering of music, comedy, art and food. The Festival site on the banks of the River Thames is transformed into a magical wonderland after sun down where revellers wear black tie and each night a magical firework display lights up the sky. As a non-camping festival, Henley is the perfect antidote to watching music in a muddy field, offering festival goers a glamorous and cultural festival experience.

MUSIC Henley’s iconic Floating Stage, boasting a spectacular backdrop of the River Thames, has played host to the world’s most celebrated popular, world and classical musicians for over three decades. Each of the five festival nights from the 5th of July 2017 will offer a show stopping performance from an industry great.

COMEDY Following the huge success of the expanded comedy programme in 2016, Henley will once again bring the biggest and best names in comedy to the festival.

VISUAL ARTS In 2017 the festival will showcase contemporary art installation and sculpture across the festival site as well as hanging works by leading photographers and painters in a series of pop up galleries dotted around the festival.

FOOD A festival for food lovers, Henley caters for all tastes offering a huge number of restaurants and pop ups from street food to fine dining. Previous chefs at the festival have included Albert Roux & Michael Roux Jn, Atul Kochhar, Jason Atherton, and Daniel Clifford.

In the daytime on Sunday, families can enjoy festival site and interact with children’s entertainers, musicians, comedians and street entertainers as well as taking part in crafting sessions and making art, while parents can relax in the stunning festival grounds.
