FOCUS Wales have announced an exciting new wave of performers and delegates for the 2019 international showcase festival, which takes place in Wrexham, North Wales across 16th – 18th May. The festival’s first two announcements caused a stir late last year, and this third wave will not disappoint with lots more incredible acts joining the line-up.
The third wave of live acts announced for FOCUS Wales 2019 includes…
Cate Le Bon – the critically acclaimed Welsh artist will play a very special intimate show at Undegun on Saturday 18th May, which will also be recorded by BBC Radio Wales for broadcast.
Kero Kero Bonito – the colourful electro-pop trio have been selling out shows across the globe since the release of their debut album Bonito Generation in 2016. Kero Kero Bonito’s 2019 tour will be their first playing live as a five piece, and promises to be their most raucous yet.
Other highlights among the new acts announced include:
New Zealand four piece The Beths, who have been making waves with their high energy guitar-pop, recently supporting Death Cab For Cutie on their huge 2018 UK and Europe tour. Also announced are Accü, LIFE, Lizzy Farrall, and Los Blancos, joined by even more exciting international acts, including the likes of MNNQNS (France), Mart Avi (Estonia), Miss Eaves (USA), Elizabete Balčus (Latvia), :papercutz (Portugal), AA55A (Korea), and many more set for FOCUS Wales 2019.
Festival booker Andy Jones says "We’ve spent the last 12 months finding the hottest new bands from around the world, to bring them to Wales this May. I’m very excited to announce these new additions to our line-up, and we still have so much more to announce in the coming weeks"
FOCUS Wales has become Wales’ biggest music industry event, with 3 days of panels and keynote talks, the festival will see over 250 music industry professional delegates descend upon Wrexham from around the world. Latest speakers announced: Ruud Berends (Eurosonic, Netherlands), Abbie McCarthy (BBC Music Introducing), Karma Bertelsen (Kilimanjaro Live Ltd), Lio Kanine (Kanine Records, USA), Johnny Marlow (BreakOut West, Canada), Ed Lilo (Latitude Festival), and Michael Lambert (Wide Days, Scotland).
