Festival Crowd Header

From the powerhouses behind Glastonbury's legendary Shangri-La area, via rocking tents at Boomtown, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness, Lovebox and Shambala, plus the internationally renowned Electro Swing Club...

...we bring you the most eclectic indoor festival showcase in London reflecting the acts you will be dancing to all 2020 Festival Season – Catch them here first!

Continental Drifts and Global Local have once again joined forces with long-standing musical partners Movimentos, Wormfood, Fire In The Mountain and Front Room Songs who curate four exciting stages over the two-day festival on January 31st – February 1st 2020.

Expect remixed sounds from Latin Grooves, Afrobeats, Tropical Bass, Vintage-Remix, Desert Remix, Balkan Beats, Urban Roots, Acoustic Soundclash, Reggae-Dub, Brass and Remix and more. London Remixed Festival is a celebration of the best emerging diverse and strange musical talent and genres. This two days festival will offer creativity, fun and madness, complete with buzzing atmosphere & music... but without the mud, rain or hassle of camping!

Friday night sees the return of the popular BRASS OFF, and this year its girls vs boys featuring Brixton's ten piece BRASSTERMIND vs the UK's first female-led brass band BREAK OUT BRASS! Each band plays a full live set before The Brass Off begins, after which they go head to head, track-to-track, horn-to-horn, with the audience choosing the ultimate winner. A new surprise for this year will be a massive Ceilidh powered by 12-piece brass sections and DJs with live Brass

First acts announced for the Sat night include playful and explosive Bristol-based MAMA JERK AND THE LADYFINGERS who's disregard for genre makes for an organised chaos tinged in psychedelia. In the FOLK GHETTO we welcome KEFI who celebrate their Greek culture and traditions, mixed with dub-inspired sounds.

Heading into the Polka Club space is 15 strong ensemble BCO: GRIME ORCHESTRATED, a collection of South London MC's performing covers of classic grime beats, fresh material and unexpected mash-ups.

Showcasing in the TROPICARNIVAL main space are all-female 9-piece group COLECTIVA featuring some of London's most exciting musicians, exploring the space between Afro-Latin music and jazz while reflecting on themes of sisterhood and female empowerment.

2020 – LONDON REMIXED FESTIVAL & VINTAGE REMIX

A pioneer of the Vintage Remix and UK Festival Scene (and LRF organiser) DJ CHRIS TOFU MBE will be sharing his obsession with all things remixed and raucous through the Polka Club. From Glastonbury to Istanbul this musical maverick is continually exploring, discovering and creating new sounds -

“Throughout my musical life, I have in some way been pursuing a remix of ancient cultures and new styles ... we call this Vintage Remix, whether that's ancient Soul retooled, Electro Swing, Gospel Remix ... etc. It's all about the Vintage Remix!”

This came into a new direction with his signing to Island Records with the amazing job of finding remixes for the back catalogue of this classic label and representing the Vintage Remix brand.
