OnBlackheath, in partnership with John Lewis, have confirmed that it will be the first festival ever to host a stage dedicated to magic, and have brought in the world famous Dynamo to head it up.

Dynamo presents ‘The House of Mystery’ makes a very exciting addition to OnBlackheath this year. Fronted by the master illusionist and hugely talented Dynamo, who will perform a special set at the festival himself, has picked a range of acts to appear in ‘The House of Mystery’ tent at the event this Summer. OnBlackheath will take place Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September 2015. Tickets on sale NOW and available via www.onblackheath.com.

Dynamo first emerged as one of the most exciting talents around on British television in 2006 starring in the Ch4 documentary Estate Of Mind. Viewers were captivated by his stylish and energetic approach to magic influenced by underground poker clubs and incorporating hip-hop movement. 2011 saw his profile grow exponentially when he launched his own staggeringly popular series Dynamo: Magician Impossible. Awards have come thick and fast ever since, including two BAFTA nominations, and Magician Impossible has quickly become one of the most celebrated magic shows on TV. Dynamo’s popularity shows no sign of wavering with his 81-date ‘Seeing is Believing’ tour, which starts later this year. OnBlackheath will be the first time that people will be able to see the magician in action ahead of the tour.

Dynamo commented, “What an amazing combination, music and magic… two great passions of mine together at one festival. It’s a dream come true and I’m so excited to be bringing magic to a festival audience for the first time ever. I’ve worked alongside Love Variety to put a fantastic line up together for The House Of Mystery… it’s definitely a weekend not to be missed.”

What is shaping up to be a festival season highlight, OnBlackheath has already announced headliners Elbow and Madness (in their only London shows this year) for the weekend, alongside Manic Street Preachers, Kelis, Anna Calvi and Laura Mvula. Plus national radio DJ Gilles Peterson and his Worldwide Stage and Heavenly Recordings’s Heavenly & Friends. The Meantime Sessions Stage has also been announced and makes a welcome addition to the bill with artists including The Rude Vandals plus Chris Holland All Stars.
