Electric Fields, Scotland's best small festival, are delighted to announce that Public Service Broadcasting, RIDE, The Horrors, Hollie Cook, Dream Wife, The Orielles, Halo Maud, Feet, Makeness, WomenSaid and Scope will be joining them at this year’s festival.

After a blinder of a performance in 2016, Public Service Broadcasting are back for 2018 to help EF celebrate their 5th birthday in style. Creation Records alumni and pioneers of the shoegaze era RIDE will bring their crucially acclaimed live show to the beautiful fields of Dumfries & Galloway for the first time. The Horrors joining them in also making their debut, with their unique brand of synth laden rock sure to get people jumping.

They join an incredible cast of some of the most exciting bands and artists from around the world including three HUGE headliners: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, James and Leftfield.

As well as an amazing musical line-up, Scotland’s finest wordsmiths Neu Reekie! are back to showcase the best in spoken word on their own dedicated stage. To celebrate their fifth birthday in style, EF18 is set to expand its entertainment offering where people can expect to laugh out loud at an extended comedy and cabaret programme. Following on from last years nomination for ‘Best Family Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards, the “Our Kids Electric” area returns bigger and better with a whole host of new entertainment and workshops and of course, the legendary adventure playground is a hop skip and a jump away!

Food lovers can rejoice as Scotland’s best street food purveyors The Pitt will be back to deliver an awesome culinary experience at the festival. There also be specialist cocktails bars and our massive craft and ale bar returns with a wide selection on offer to quench your thirst.

We’ve been working really hard over the past few years, and we’re just chuffed to be able to be putting on what’s set to be another great  weekend of music, with our always excellent audience, in such a beautiful setting!”
