Tramlines, Sheffield’s award winning inner city music festival, has today announced the Saturday line-up curated by the Red Bull Music Academy.
Participants fresh from Red Bull Music Academy New York join Tensnake and BrEaCh for 12-hour warehouse takeover
Topping an already packed weekend of music, the Red Bull Music Academy will take over Hope Works on 20 July to feature some of the most cutting edge prolific electronic music talent fresh from the Red Bull Music Academy in New York City.
Headlining the 12 hour warehouse marathon in his Sheffield debut is international man of house, Hamburg based Producer and DJ, Tensnake.
Supporting headline is Ben Westbeach’s alter-ego and UK hot property, BrEaCh, fresh from recording his new album in the Red Bull Studios in Amsterdam who’s sure to turn up the volume and keep the dancefloor pumping.
Opening for the RBMA participants is Glaswegian, Koreless, who kicks off proceedings by putting a show of his unique sonic blend of post dub-step and electronica.
Next up offering a contrast to his fellow participant is masterful mixer, Producer and remixer, Throwing Snow. Adding analog and disco flair to the proceedings is Italian Producer and fellow participant in this year's Red Bull Music Academy, Jolly Mare, and last but not least, Sheffield’s own, Squarehead.
Hope Works warehouse will be transformed by Red Bull’s long time production partners, Article Works, using unique light and video installation to showcase New York’s artistic movements: minimalism and street art. Article Works have provided visuals for countless acts including Jamie XX, Benga, and Duke Dumont so festival goers will be good hands.
Festival Director Sarah Nulty said: “Hope Works has never been on the Tramlines Festival circuit before so we’re really pleased to bring it in to the mix this year. Historically, warehouse venues and electronic music have gone hand-in-hand in creating unrivalled, raw energy, and with this incredible line-up coupled with the spectacular production, it’s a very exciting addition to the festival programme.”
Line-up confirmations for Tramlines taking place on 19 - 21 July already include Lianne La Havas, Toddla T Sound, David Rodigan MBE, The Selecter, Maurice Fulton, Theo Parrish, New Young Pony Club, Shangaan Electro, Fenech Soler, Slow Club, Jim Jones Revue, The Invisible, 2.54, Friends, Duke Dumont and Dutch Uncles.
