Legendary American rock group, the Beach Boys will be returning to Epsom Downs Racecourse this summer

The band will travel from California to the Surrey Downs, where they will perform a selection of their greatest hits on Thursday 17 July at the racecourse as part of Epsom Live! Music nights.

The Beach Boys continue to perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago. And now in 2014, their Capitol Records release, Sounds of Summer, and its companion The Warmth of the Sun marks a resurgence in Beach Boys interest that has again rocked the world.

The group plays an astoundingly busy schedule of concerts, averaging 130 shows a year, ranging from sundrenched summer festivals to gala New Year’s celebrations and special events worldwide.  They are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love,Randell KirschTim BonhommeJohn Cowsill and Scott Tottencontinue the legacy of the iconic American band.

Big crowds were at Epsom Downs for The Beach Boys last concert in 2011.  Tickets will be massively in demand again, so advance purchase is strongly advised and for the first 1,000 adult tickets sold, racegoers will receive a 10% discount.

Rupert Trevelyan, Regional Director London of Jockey Club Racecourses, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome back the Beach Boys to the racecourse, a band who has sold albums by tens of millions.  In 2011 The Beach Boys performed after racing and were hugely popular amongst our racegoers and we are delighted they are returning.”

The band joins the internationally acclaimed band Boyzone, singer-songwriter James Blunt and Peter Andre.

Tickets for The Beach Boys at Epsom Live will be on sale at Epsom Downs Racecourse for just £35. Children aged 5-17 are £20 and under 5’s are free.  To book your tickets visit www.epsomdowns.co.uk or call: 0844 5793004
