Afrojack and Sub Focus join line-up of MTV Crashes Plymouth

MTV UK today announced Dutch superstar DJ and producer, Afrojack, and drum and bass hotshot, Sub Focus, are set to join the line-up for Day Two of MTV Crashes Plymouth.

They will be joining Example and Tough Love for a massive anthem-packed finale for Club MTV on Plymouth Hoe, July 29th.

After the huge success of last year’s MTV Crashes Plymouth, which saw Tinie Tempah, Steve Aoki and Oliver Heldens whip up a crowd of over 30,000 into a frenzy on the sun-drenched Hoe, MTV are back with a double hit of live music from some of the biggest performers in world!

In 2014, Afrojack released his debut album 'Forget The World', charting high in Top 10’s around the world featuring artists such as Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg and Sting. Right now he’s cruising the airwaves with new single together with Fais called HEY! After producing Major Lazor’s 'Pon Di Floor', David Guetta’s 'Titanium' and Chris Brown’s 'Look at Me Now', we can’t wait to see what he has in stores for us this summer.

Afrojack said, ‘MTV Crashes are one of THE best events to play - the crowds are awesome. I can’t wait to ‘crash’ Plymouth Hoe this July - see you there!’

Nick Douwma, better known as Sub Focus has not only cracked the UK Top 40 and dance charts with his explosive drum and bass hits, he has also produced stand out remixes for the likes of The Prodigy, Deadmau5, Rusko andDizzee Rascal. A regular on the festival circuit, Sub Focus has performed at the likes of Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury and the Isle Of Wight Festival, so his bass-heavy DJ set is sure to get the party started!

Sub Focus said, ‘I’m really looking forward to playing MTV Crashes in Plymouth. It’s a fantastic show with a great line up and I hear you can’t beat the crowds on Plymouth Hoe!

Also set to Crash Plymouth for Club MTV’s second day is Example.

“I can’t wait to be to be performing in front of a massive crowd and looking over the sea! I was there in 2014 and it was an incredible line up and I had an amazing time and I’m really excited to do it all over again!”

Example first found success with the release of his second studio album, Won't Go Quietly, which peaked in the Top Ten and subsequently had two Number One singles with Changed The Way You Kissed Me and Stay Awake. Example has since released his fifth studio album, Live Life Living, which charted at Number One in the UK Dance Albums Chart.

Club MTV Performers, Alex and Stefan from Tough Love, said, "Last year's MTV Crashes at Plymouth looked amazing and we can't wait to be part of the action this year!”

UK duo, Tough Love, have rapidly risen through the ranks of the house scene since both members crossed paths playing the London circuit. Their distinct and recognisable productions, together with energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets, have created a cult following of hardcore fans across the UK and beyond.

MTV Crashes Plymouth will be broadcast on MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels, showcasing Britain’s Ocean City in over 35 countries, with electric live performances.
