Blink 182 – The Eden Project Cornwall

Festival Crowd Header
Blink182

The arrival of Blink 182 in the South West, meant for a sold out concert at The Eden Project, Cornwall. As the sun shone over the bio-domes and the crowds gathered I knew that this was going to be a gig to remember.

Ever growing, Devon based band The Computers played stage right whilst the main stage was being prepared for Blink 182. Al ‘Screaming’ Kershaw’s constant energy get the crowd hyped for what is about to be one of the biggest concerts in our area. His heavy vocals and their powerful performance wow the crowd, and it is clear that they have a passion for performing.

Pop punk trio Blink 182 open the show with ‘Feeling this’, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The multi-generational mix of people shows the dedication and respect for the band. Classics such as ‘Girl and the rock show’ ‘What’s my ages again’ and ‘Say it ain’t so’ remind us all of the good old days. ‘All the small things’ fire up the crowd, after the softer sounds of ‘I miss you’.

Newer hits such as ‘Violence’, ‘Man overboard’ and ‘Dumpweed’ kept the crowd wanting more. With Tom and Mark bouncing around the stage as if they were still teenagers, throwing insults at each other from time to time, the Californian rockers clearly knew how to please their fans.

Travis Barker shows us why he is widely recognized as one of the world’s greatest drummers during his solo ‘Can a drummer get some’, working their live video feed to its limits. With the crowd mesmerized the band depart, minutes later returning to a huge round of applause, screams, and shouts, performing ‘Carousel’ and ‘Dammit’ for the encore.

With everyone on a high after a phenomenal show, this was certainly going to be an event that would never be forgotten.
